The process
Our efficient and accurate on site process enables us to capture and verify large as-built surfaces in a short period of time.

Project Planning
The planning phase defines the project scope and objectives. Here, we identify key areas and structures to be scanned and schedule the scanning to align with the site’s demolition program.

Site Preparation
Before scanning can commence, we ensure the site is accessible and safe. Obstructions that might interfere with the scan are cleared and we then create reference points or targets, if required.

Scanning Execution
To execute the scan, we position the 3D laser scanner at strategic locations. Multiple scans are performed, covering all necessary angles and areas. As the scanning continues, we adjust the scanner settings for optimal data capture (resolution, range, etc.).

Data Processing
The scan data is transferred to processing software, where we align and merge multiple scans to create a complete 3D model. We also clean up the data by removing noise and irrelevant points.

Model Creation/Deliverables
We generate a detailed 3D model from the processed scan data. Key features and structures are annotated and labelled, and the model is verified for accuracy against the project requirements.

Analysis and Reporting
The final stage involves a detailed analysis of the model and a report that highlights key measurements and any areas of clash detection.
